Disclosures (seminar part 1)

Organised by Gasworks, Disclosures is a project that looks at the manifestations of open source methodology in fields of cultural production outside of the internet.

Disclosures seeks to scrutinise the notion of openness across fields of cultural production at large. Through a two-day seminar, commissioned projects and a view-on-demand film and reading library (10 April - 18 May at Gasworks), Disclosures endeavours to identify references and strategies that have been common to two interrelated areas of practices: critical media practice and socially-collaborative work realised in the visual art field. The various phases of the project will attempt to find a common language and to set up a premise for improved understanding and greater collaboration between the two fields.
