Open Source Creative Coding

Technology is increasingly being used to deliver messages in a variety of formats, many in the real world. Open Source coding techniques are enabling new forms of collaboration and creativity. This workshop with Hellicar & Lewis will demonstrate how to use OpenFrameworks Open Source platform to create real world installations that educate, inspire and intrigue. You will learn the basics of OpenFrameworks and explore how using software in an Open Source fashion can allow for innovation and more time for creativity, rather than endless re-invention of the wheel, and how computer programming knowledge can inspire appraisal of areas such as Graphic Design, Sculpture, Play and Anthropology. Suitable for beginners with basic computer skills. Part of the Decode exhibition programme.
