SCAN Structures for Collaborative Audio Networks is a mobile strategy for the promotion and broadcast of free speech in public contexts.

SCAN is two participatory projects, PeacePod and Talkaoke combined with locative media to broadcast and archive audio online.

PeacePod is a mobile spherical forum that encourages people to meet. Talkaoke is a spontaneous talk show where anyone can take a seat and air their views around the table. The audio archiving facility enables audiences to contribute their own content live to the streamed website via embedded audio devices.

SCAN will tour community centres in Tower Hamlets throughout March in partnership with ART.e @ The Art of Change and Leaside Regeneration culminating in the main SCAN event at the Idea Store.
