SonicRecycler2 – an evening of reinvented and recycled music.

Following on from 2004s inaugural event, Watermans and curator Douglas Benford (Sprawl & Brentford Recycling Action Group) present SonicRecycler2 – an evening of reinvented and recycled music.

SonicRecycler2 features an exclusive mix of audio artists and DJs creating new work by sampling (or recycling) pre-existing sounds and music.

By creating new music through recycling and reinventing, SonicRecycler2 draws attention to local and world wide issues caused by excessive consumption and the throw-away mind set of the society that we live in.

In addition to sound artists and DJs, SonicRecycler2 is an opportunity to learn more about the work of local waste action and recycling groups. Brentford Recycling Action Group (BRAG) were set up to raise awareness of the reduction, reuse and recycling of waste materials and to promote activities which seek to improve the local environment.
