Started in 1997, Furtherfield is the collaborative work of artists, programmers, writers, activists, musicians and thinkers from around the world who explore beyond traditional remits. The Furtherfield community creates imaginative strategies that actively communicate ideas and issues in a range of digital and terrestrial media contexts

House of Technologically Termed Praxis (HTTP) is a Furtherfield initiative that provides a public venue for simultaneously exhibiting artworks in physical and digital space. The programme is dedicated to activities, events and exhibitions with a focus on networked, participative and collaborative works. The gallery, sited in the vibrant and culturally diverse Green Lanes area of London, works with a wide range of artists and audiences to explore the potential of current network technology to promote distributed creativity.
