The digital arts team at Thames Valley University are offering a great set of workshops for NODE08 looking at real time media, visual programming, open source hardware. The workshops are designed by media artists for media artists.

In the mid 1990's TVU innovated the art and design education scene and established one of the earliest Digital Art programmes in a UK University. Over the past eight years- the Digital Art programme has established expertise in the following experimental digital arts areas:

•network and internet art
•interactive video, digital narrative and time-based media
•maverick machines - hardware hacking, physical computing and creative robotics
•digital sculpture, kinetic art and 3D hybrids
•experimental 3D animation, games as art and virtual immersive worlds
•digital painting and image making
•computer generated art and algorithmic drawing
•installation and site specific art
•computer mediated performance
