Armin Medosch is a writer, curator and artist. He is currently a PhD research student at Goldsmiths Digital Studios.

Armin Medosch is a writer, artist and curator working in the field of media art and network culture. In 2007, together with Ina Zwerger, he hosted the theme conference "Goodbye Privacy" of the worlds biggest and oldest media arts festival Ars Electronica. He initiated the exhibition WAVES which was first shown in Riga, Latvia, in 2006, and is currently getting prepared for being opened in May 2008 in Dortmund, Germany. Medosch has published numerous articles, book contributions and two books Netzpiraten (2001) and Freie Netze (2003). Between 1996 and 2002 he was founding editor-at-large of the award winning online magazine Telepolis. He is currently doing a practice based PhD at Goldsmiths University of London's Digital Studios for which he researches the relationship between arts and free and open source software and in the context of which he currently builds collaborative research platform under the title The Next Layer. http://www.thenextlayer.org/
