Don Chow is an Asian Canadian migrant cultural worker interested in healing and spiritual traditions, urbanization, diaspora and sound system culture. He works with digital imaging/photography, electronic music, tea and social computing.

Don Chow is an Asian Canadian migrant cultural worker interested in manifestations and dislocations of spirituality and spiritual traditions in contexts of urbanization, diaspora, migration and sound system culture.

A former influential college radio music director, as well as DJ, music curator and film composer, he is also a recording artist with Detroit's revered Black futurist techno label, Transmat.

As media artist, he works with digital imaging/photography and social computing in conjunction with a history of work and projects in other disciplines and artists including Heri Dono, Stan Douglas, Fred Ho, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Derrick May, Mark Stewart, Tackhead, Adrian Sherwood and Pramoedya Ananta Toer.

Currently living and working between Shanghai, Tokyo and Vancouver, his work is influenced by the martial, healing and spiritual traditions of China, Indonesia and Brazil, which are part of his artistic training and practice. A Fine Arts (creative writing) graduate of the University of British Columbia, his work was recently exhibited in Hong Kong in 2004 and 2005.
