4 Boxing Clubs in Northern Italy documents the multiplicity of activities developing in gyms, where Andrea Crociani made a series of video recordings and conducted interviews. A magazine was produced to accompany the video, which includes eight interviews with both professional and amateur boxers. With this project Crociani focuses his attention on the world of boxing, one which is profoundly conditioned by stereotypes that very often have little to do with reality. The artist's intention is to undermine preconceptions through a direct investigation and first-hand knowledge of a specific situation.
