A short film about a young boy's reaction against the pressure to conform in a new environment. Sometimes our fantasies can become a little strange in reality.

Audiences approach film work with a certain amount of expectation. Most viewers have a broad experience of watching films and television programmes. They are fluent decoders of film language and are fully aware of structures and devices that are used to communicate in a way that is formulaic and easy to consume. However, I enjoy using this universally accepted and familiar language of film in order to create scenes that become strange or unfamiliar in the film's context, which then strikes a familiar chord on a human level with the viewer. Human experience, emotion and interaction are important elements in my work that I like to apply using metaphor and symbolism in the accessible form of film and video.
