We will need to establish a good system of permissions so that group members/participants in a project or event can all edit a relevant node. Also we need fine-grained editing permissions for different roles.

from conversation with andyf:
delegating editing of nodes to specific users (chosen by the node creator when they make the node) should work. big venues are fussy about who can edit their details. group data often needs to be editing by people who are not in the group.
