Emma Lawrence
Experimental Psychologist
Dr Emma Lawrence is a postdoctoral experimental psychologist at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London. Her PhD and subsequent work explores empathy in healthy volunteers and clinical groups such as those with autistic spectrum disorders, using a cognitive neuropsychiatric approach including cognitive experimentation and brain scanning techniques.
Emma's interests include writing articles that communicate science/psychology to the public. In addition, she regularly disseminates her findings at conferences and research seminars both in the UK and internationally.
She is also an Associate Lecturer for the Open University's Cognitive Psychology Module and so comfortable presenting to non-scientific audiences.
