Pete Gomes is a Writer-Director and Artist. His work has been shown extensively world wide, and he is known for his innovative conceptual and visual work and has collaborated widely with many contemporary musicians, composers and choreographers.

His work has been screened and shown internationally, in galleries and festivals including, Tate Modern, Whitechapel Art Gallery, Gimpel Fils, Barcelona Centre for Contemporary Culture, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Vienna Museum of Contemporary Art, Architecture Foundation, Leeds International Film Festival, South Bank Centre, London, Dance Umbrella, Institute of Contemporary Art, Architectural Association, Sonar, and also in USA, India, Russia, Brazil, Iceland, Tasmania and across Europe.

He is known for his innovative conceptual and visual work, and for his collaborations with contemporary architects, choreographers, musicians and composers including: Throbbing Gristle, Shobana Jeyasingh, Luciano Berio, Donnacha Dennehey, Jocelyn Pook, Natacha Atlas and Michael Nyman.

He explores intersections between cinema, technology and the unconscious, which manifests itself in a wide range of projects encompassing installation to film drama.

Current projects include a film exploring 'geo-cinema' and storytelling in southern Madagascar, and his first feature film drama, as Writer-Director, the psychological horror film, 'Nocta' .
